Mayfest 2005 

If you're planning a trip to Perryville/Perry County, come on the weekend that one of our community events is scheduled.  If you're moving to the county, you just can't pass up these special events.  You'll find friendly folks enjoying loads of fun at gatherings which have become a part of the local tradition and many events are framed around the local heritage.

SUNDAY SUMMER CONCERT, Perryville, MO                  
Our summer concerts are held at the Gazebo on the downtown square on the a  Sunday in June, July and August from 5pm -7pm. Entertainment and  family fun! 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION , Perryville, MO        

The "Spirit of America" will fill the air at Perryville City Park on Independence Day.  This celebration is organized by Perryville Rotary.  Fireworks will begin at dark.

PERRY COUNTY 4-H FAIR, Perryville, MO

Our 4-H youth display their prize animals and artistic skills. The event is held at the American Legion Hall. Come and see what our youth are up to and enjoy a delicious Chicken Dinner at the hall.

THIRD ANNUAL RIVER HILLS ANTIQUE TRACTOR ADVENTURE RIDE & HERITAGE DAY, Perryville, MO

A 37 mile tractor parade will  begin at 8:30am from the Seminary Grounds and will travel throughout the county.  At the end of the adventure there will be a dinner and program featuring Max Armstrong, one of America's best-known and most widely followed agriculture journalists.  If you are interested in participating in the tractor ride, please call 573 788-2759.  The gates will open at 12:00pm to view business displays with the tractors returning around 3:00pm.  Dinner will be served from 5:00-6:30pm.  Dinner/program tickets will be $8 each.  All meal tickets must be purchased in advance, tickets will not be available to purchase at the gate.  For ticket information call 573-547-6062.

ANNUAL ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SEMINARY PICNIC, Perryville, MO

"Where friends meet friends," the Seminary Picnic has been a family tradition in Perry County for over a 100 years. The event is held the first full weekend in August at the Seminary Grove off T Road In Perryville. Events include a Family style meal, Hand Crafted Quilt Bingo, Concessions, Rides, Antique Carousel and Live Entertainment. Sponsored by St. Vincent de Paul Parish.            EAST PERRY COMMUNITY FAIR
            "The Biggest (and Best) Little Fair in the Land"

This growing event is held annually in September on the fairgrounds in Altenburg. Events include 4-H exhibits, livestock judging, crafts, tractor pulls, jumping mules competition, horse show, rides, local foods, live entertainment and attendance prizes.                SAXON FALL FESTIVAL, Frohna, MO

This annual event is held at the Saxon Lutheran Memorial in Frohna. It features apple butter cooking in 30 gallon copper kettles over open fire, displays and demonstrations of various arts and crafts, local foods and special performances of "Kinderchor." Held annually "On the Square" in Perryville on Friday and Saturday of Mother’s Day Weekend. Perryville’s Mayfest has something for everyone - Parade, Craft Fair, Quilt Show, Mayfest Idol, Antique Car & Tractor Show, Youth Art Show, Live Entertainment including Country, Gospel, Bluegrass, 50's & 60's; 5-K Run, Carnival Rides, Contests, Local Foods, Street Dances and Special Attractions.
