Perryville is a growing community located 80 miles south of St. Louis along Interstate 55.  Perryville is expanding its already healthy industrial base, while maintaining a high value on its quality, hometown atmosphere.

Perryville has received over 30 state and national awards for its progress in community improvements.  With over 30 years of participation in the Missouri Community Betterment program, Perryville is recognized as the "winningest" city in Missouri!

The county seat of Perry County, Perryville has approximately 7,600 residents.  The renovated Courthouse and town square display the pride in maintaining a strong downtown area.  This area has veteran businesses and successful new businesses.

CHURCHES
Thirteen churches within the Perryville community provide a variety of opportunities for worship and service.  Many churches hold picnics and festivals during the summer and fall.  The Seminary Picnic, sponsored by the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, has been an annual tradition for over 100 years.  This three-day celebration draws people from all over the country. 

ORGANIZATIONS
There are over 50 civic and church-related organizations serving others within Perryville.  These organizations have provided many community improvements in the parks and schools, adding to the quality of life in Perryville.  Working together, the community raised funds for a state-of-the art community track and a one-mile fitness/nature trail.

AIRPORT

The Perryville Municipal Airport has a 7,000 foot runway to accommodate corporate jets as well as smaller private planes.  Charter services, sightseeing flights, flight instruction, and full-time mechanic services are available at the airport for professional or amateur aviators.  The airport has "T" hangers to provide additional space for private aircraft storage.

PERRY PARK CENTER
Residents and visitors are enjoying the beautiful Perry Park Center.  Completed in March, 1999, the center provides new cultural opportunities through use of the 420 seat performing arts theater and new and expanded library facilities.  Additionally, year-round recreational facilities are available at the covered indoor swimming pool and the new gymnasium/fitness center.  $9.5 million center is located in the Perryville City Park. EDUCATION
Perryville is committed to quality education for our children and continuing education opportunities for adults.

  • Perry County Public School District 32 is a AAA consolidated school with approximately 2,400 students enrolled.  www.perryville.k12.mo.us
  • St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School offers grades K-12.
  • Immanuel Lutheran School offers classes for K-8.
  • Perryville Area Career and Technology Center offers preparation for technical careers and specialized job training for area employers.  Adult Continuing Education courses are available each quarter.
  • Perryville Area Higher Education Center offers college credit courses through a cooperative effort with Southeast Missouri State University and Mineral Area College.


HEALTHCARE
Perry County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) provides quality, patient-focused care in a cost-effective manner.  PCMH offers a full range of acute healthcare services, emergency care, obstetrical, surgical, rehabilitative, home health, and outpatient services.  Sixteen different specialty field of medicine are available.
Other medical services available at PCMH include: JobMed, which cares for the needs of local industry; After Hours, a form of urgent care; Adult Day Care; and wellness education.
The Perry County Memorial Hospital campus includes 21,000 square feet of medical office space which provides convenient, contemporary access to primary care physicians.
